Our visit to the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Geel was a continuation of the cooperation agreement signed last year. This time, we focused on establishing cooperation between the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network institutes and the laboratories in Geel. <\/div>
<\/div>
We visited selected laboratories: the GELINA electron accelerator used for measuring time-of-flight of particles; the Explosive Trace Detection Laboratory, where airport devices for detecting traces of explosives are tested; the C-UAS (Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Laboratory, which specializes in technologies for combating drones and other unmanned vehicles; the Food Fraud Laboratory, where food samples, such as honey, oregano, cinnamon, and saffron, are tested for counterfeiting; and the production hall for certified reference materials, which JRC Geel produces.
In our discussions, we identified the potential for cooperation, including: in the field of rocket fuels and high-energy material standards <\/div>
