On March 5\u20136, 2026, the 15th edition of the Science Festival took place at the Boles\u0142aw Prus High School in Warsaw\u2014an event that has for years inspired students to explore the world of science, fostered their curiosity, and encouraged them to ask questions. This year’s edition was co-created by experts from the \u0141ukasiewicz Institutes, who led the lectures. <\/p>

A rich program and expert presentations<\/strong><\/p>

The invited speakers included representatives of the \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 I Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry and the \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Warsaw Institute of Technology, who presented topics in the field of chemical, engineering and biological sciences.<\/p>

On the first day of the event, March 5, scientists from \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry:<\/p>

  • Katarzyna Cie\u015blak, PhD <\/strong>, in the lecture “How to become a scientist” she talked about her research career path, from student to scientist, and explained who a scientist is.<\/li>
  • Katarzyna Ga\u0144czyk-Specjalska, PhD <\/strong>, in her speech “Are all explosives dangerous?” she introduced the topic of the use of high-energy substances and talked about the types of explosives.<\/li>
  • Gabriel Biegniewski, MSc Eng<\/strong>, In his presentation, “Can You Talk to an Insect?”, he took students into the world of insects. He explained how they communicate with their surroundings and how scientists study their complex interactions with nature.<\/li><\/ul>

    The stand of \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry also attracted great interest, where students could learn about the institute\u2019s activities and talk to experts.<\/p>

    On the second day of the festival, March 6, a lecture by a representative of \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Warsaw Institute of Technology took place:<\/p>

    • Artur Rudowicz, MSc Eng. <\/strong>, in the presentation “Corrosion \u2013 around us”, he introduced students to the electrochemical processes occurring in metals, anodizing methods and modern surface protection technologies used, among others, in the aviation and biomedical industries. <\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
