Our scientists participated in , one of the most important events in the world of toxicology, held from September 8th to 11th in Copenhagen
The 58th Congress of the European Societies of Toxicology, EUROTOX 2024, is one of the largest meetings of experts, researchers, and industry representatives in the field of toxicology. The central theme of this year’s edition was “Toxicology – A Quest for safe Chemicals and Medicines”
During the poster session, our researchers presented results of their work:
Daniel Krakowian presented research on a cytotoxicity test for assessing eye irritation (CEI), which was developed at Łukasiewicz – IPO to classify substances based on their potential eye hazards. The study aimed to determine whether the CEI test could be effectively used for multi-component mixtures.
Robert Sornat presented findings on the use of danio rerio embryos as a model for testing the toxicity of plant protection products. This research could help reduce the use of vertebrates in toxicity testing, marking an important step towards more ethical scientific research practices.
It was a great opportunity for us to present our research in an international setting and exchange knowledge with top experts!
