Over 70 years of experience

The history of Łukasiewicz – Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry (Łukasiewicz – IPO) dates back to the late 1940s.

In 1947, as part of the Main Institute of Mechanics, the Institute of Explosive Materials was established, which served as the foundation for the creation of the Institute of Applied Chemistry on January 1, 1952. Later, on January 1, 1958, after the merger of the Institute of Applied Chemistry with the Institute of Dyes and Intermediates, the Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry was formed.

Since April 1, 2019, the Institute has been part of the Łukasiewicz Research Network and operates under its current name.

1947

The date of creation of the Institute of Explosive Materials in Warsaw and the Experimental-Research Station in Pszczyna.

1952

The date of creation of the Institute of Applied Chemistry.

1955

The date of creation of Branch in Krupski Młyn

1957

The Experimental Research Station is being replaced by the Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry, Branch Pszczyna.

1958

The merger of two institutes results in the creation of the Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry in Warsaw.

2019

The merger of two institutes results in the creation of the Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry in Warsaw.
