On March 19, 2026, we had the pleasure of hosting a chemistry workshop for students from the Jan Paweł II General Secondary School Complex in Pawłowice. The meeting began with a short introduction presenting the activity profile of our unit, a reminder of the laboratory safety rules, and an overview of the workshop program.
During the practical part of the session, students independently carried out experiments related to topics covered in the matriculation exam. They started with preparing the solutions needed for subsequent exercises. The hands-on activities included:
- precipitating colorful salt sediments,
- performing oxidation and reduction reactions using manganese compounds,
- multicolored characteristic reactions of selected organic compounds.
The program also featured tasks designed to develop precision in laboratory work, such as titration with an indicator.
The workshop took place in a cheerful and engaging atmosphere, with high levels of involvement from both the students and their teachers. The announcement of the group’s upcoming visit to our Institute—where they will explore the work of our other sections—sparked particular enthusiasm.
We look forward to welcoming them again soon!
