We are pleased to announce that Krzysztof Żelechowski has successfully defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Application of 1,3-Dipolar Cycloaddition of Nitrones for the Synthesis of New Isoxazolidine Derivatives as Potential Plant Protection Agents” at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Warsaw University of Technology.
The search for new active substances in agrochemistry, characterized by higher activity, lack of undesirable side effects, and low cost, is a crucial factor in the pursuit of high-yield, quality crops.
The doctoral dissertation focused on research involving the design and synthesis of amides of 2-diphenylmethyl-3-aryl-isoxazolidine-5-carboxylic acids, as well as a qualitative structure-activity analysis of the fungicidal properties of the synthesized derivatives against plant fungal pathogens.
His research represents an important step in the field of plant protection, opening up new perspectives for creating effective solutions for sustainable agricultural production.
We congratulate him on his well-deserved title and wish him continued success.
