There was a lot going on during this year’s MSPO trade fair in Kielce! 🚀
One of the most important events was the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the Łukasiewicz Research Network and Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. The collaboration will encompass research, development, and technology transfer to the Polish defense industry. This represents a significant opportunity to strengthen relationships and jointly develop solutions that will strengthen national security.
PGZ is particularly interested in projects involving the production of nitrocellulose and nitroguanidine – key intermediates for ammunition and explosives. These are areas in which Łukasiewicz – IPO has had strong expertise for years, working on high-energy materials, initiation systems, and rocket propellants.

The year 2025 also brought us a significant distinction. During a gala at the Grand Hotel in Kielce, we received the Class II Award in the “State Security Leader – 2025” competition. We were recognized for developing the “GAMS Control Module” project in a consortium with the Warsaw University of Technology and DRI Solutions Sp. z o.o.
The award on behalf of Łukasiewicz – IPO was received by::
👏 Rafał Bogusz – Director of High – Energy Materials Centre
👏 Martyna Niedolistek – High – Energy Materials Research Group
This distinction shows that our work has real significance and brings innovation to the Polish defense industry.

Throughout the fair, we welcomed visitors to stand A16 in hall 4. Our experts were happy to discuss the Institute’s activities and present selected solutions in the field of high-energy materials. Among other things, visitors could see:
- solid rocket propellant charges;
- burning rate modifiers;
- shaped cartridges;
- shaped charges;
- small-sized pyrotechnic products;
- explosives moldings.

MSPO is a great opportunity to see modern technologies firsthand, talk to experts, and learn what Polish research institutes are working on. It’s also a place where new partnerships and projects are born, which later feed into industry and strengthen national security.
