In occasion of Women’s Day, we want to share the stories of three remarkable women whose passion, determination and achievements inspire us all in the changing face of science and work.

Katarzyna Gańczyk-Specjalska, PhD is a true pioneer in the field of research with military applications. Her work on the NCBR project in the field defence resulted in a groundbreaking prototype of a charge for the VI PGT, marking a significant step forward for our country’s security. Outside of work, Katarzyna doesn’t rest on her laurels – she actively spends her time on hiking trips and participates in dance classes, showing that passion and commitment are key to balancing work and personal life.

Dominika Gądarowska, PhD is another outstanding researcher whose expertise in the assessment of toxicological and ecotoxicological safety brings new looking to health and environmental issues. Her work on alternative in vitro methods sets new standards in research, bridging different fields of knowledge for a better future. Dominika is a perfect example of someone who isn’t afraid of challenges and seeks innovative solutions, even when the path seems difficult.

Urszula Szłapa is not only a talented analyst but also a dedicated athlete, combining her passion for running with her professional life. Her achievements in the world of marathons are impressive – completing 7 marathons, winning award the Polish Marathon Crown distinction, and many other awards are the result of her determination, systematic work, and dedication. Urszula shows us that even in the busiest schedule, one can find time to pursue their passions and goals.

Thanks to Catherine, Dominika and Ursula, we are aware that there are no limits to women’s strength and determination. Their attitudes are an inspiration to all who strive to achieve great things in their professional and personal lives. Therefore, on this Women’s Day, we thank them for their continued passion, commitment and contributions to science. May their example be a source of inspiration for all of us!
