For Łukasiewicz –Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry 2025 was a year of intense research and development activities and an active presence in key industry initiatives.

A significant area of our activity was the dissemination of science. We participated in the Prussian Science Festival and the Silesian Science Festival, and also conducted workshops for young people, demonstrating the practical aspects of chemistry, safety, and the work of a scientist. We also joined the Noble Gift initiative, which provides real support to families in need.

In 2025 we were present at the most important trade fairs and industry events, such as Defence24 Days, MSPO, SETAC Europe, EUROTOX, PCI Days, Orchard meeting in Sandomierz, TSW Kielce. Our experts also actively participated in international panels and expert bodies – we sat in the 66th and 67th sessions of the Subcommittee ECOSOC on the Transport of Dangerous Goods , we took part in meetings Chief Inspectors of Explosives (CIE) oraz pracach Working Group IGUS EPP, and the Space Launch Systems Team KBKiS PAN.

A special event was the 20th anniversary edition of the IPOEX scientific conference., organized by the institute. This international forum devoted to explosives, rocket propellants, and security attracted 130 participants, who had the opportunity to listen to over 20 presentations by experts representing science, industry, and government. The conference became a platform for the real exchange of knowledge and experiences.

The year 2025 also brought important distinctions – the 2nd Class Award in the “State Security Leader 2025” competition and the 1st Class Team Award for scientific achievements for the implementation of the GAMS Control Module project in a consortium with the Warsaw University of Technology and DRI Solutions Sp. z o.o.

The Institute has also become a partner in the international research project SEDAS – Safe and Effective Decommissioning of Arch Supports. The project, financed by the Coal and Steel Research Fund, aims to develop innovative technology for the safe dismantling and recovery of steel arch supports in underground coal mines.

Another important step in the development of cooperation was the signing on September 3rd of a strategic partnership agreement between the Łukasiewicz Research Network and Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. The agreement covers the development of research and technology for the defense industry, including the production of nitrocellulose and nitroguanidine.

We thank all employees, partners, and participants in our activities. The year 2025 demonstrated that knowledge, experience, and collaboration have a real impact on security and the development of modern technologies. 🚀
