On June 20, students from grades 7-8 of Primary School No. 5 in Ząbki, attending the chemistry club, took part in fascinating science shows.
The event began with a welcome in the conference room, where the students were warmly welcomed by Katarzyna Gańczyk-Specjalska, who told them what the Center of High Energy Materials does on a daily basis.
Then the exciting pyrotechnic shows took place, which aroused great interest and enthusiasm among the youth. Grzegorz Ołowski presented in practice the operation of several pyrotechnic masses of different colours. Students had the opportunity to see in reality what metal is responsible for red, green or yellow colour. At the end, everyone could see the blast chamber where detonation tests of explosives are being carried out.
At the end, the students had the opportunity to visit the laboratories, where they could see what the everyday work of our experts looks like in practice. The entire event was not only educational, but also inspiring, encouraging young chemists to explore further the secrets of this fascinating science.
