The following researches are provided:
- development and optimization of the selective biosynthesis of chemicals being the intermediates in the preparation of i.a. modern pesticides, by use of various microorganisms in the process (as the selected strains of bacteria, also genetically modified),
- development and optimization of the biosynthetic processes. The isolation and purification of the biosynthetic crude products after fermentations (as extraction methods, distillation, chemical methods e.g. preparation of bio-product derivative(s), their separation from biomass and subsequent selective transformation to chemically and optically pure product).
- development of the methods for quantitative and qualitative determination of bio-product as well in the crude fermentation broth, as after purification.
Currently, the Team research is related to the project (leader: IPO) untitled: " Technology of processing agricultural raw materials and waste into D-lactic acid D-LA and (S)-(-)-2-chloropropionic acid (S-MCP), intermediates for the production of biodegradable polymers and modern herbicides. Technologies and formulations of aryloxyphenoxypropionic herbicides and phenoxypropionic herbicides. ", which for the years 2016-2018 received funding from the NCBR under the 2-nd edition of BIOSTRATEG programme.
Contract research works for the purposes of registration are also performed:
- the microbiocidal effectiveness of the biocides (Category II. Preservatives)
- determination of chemicals activity against bacteria and yeast / group: 6, 7, 9, 11, 13 /
- determination of chemicals activity against fungi / group: 6, 7, 9, 11, 13 /
- determination of the biological resistance of painting materials to the microorganisms during the production and storage / group 6 /.
