Synthesis and evaluation of novel compounds with potential biological activity.

The organic compounds bearing chalcogen atoms (sulfur, selenium), nitroxyl radicals, coumarine derivatives, heterocyclic compounds - oxazole and isoxazole derivatives are synthesized, characterized and evaluated.

Substances and intermediates applied as pesticides, veterinary drugs are synthesized, especially including the substances acting against diseases of bees (varroosis, chalk brood). Studies are being conducted on the preparation and use of bromfenvinphos and amitraz.

The compounds potentially applied as analytical standards (eg. chloral, phosphoroorganic pesticides, coumarin derivatives) are synthesized.

The insect pheromones are synthesized. The dispensers containing the pheromones for the following pests are manufactured and distributed:

Codling moth (Cydia pomonella)
Turnip moth (Agrotis segetum)
Plum fruit moth (Grapholita funebrana)
Heart and dart moth (Agrotis exclamations)
Apple clearwing moth (Synenthedon myopaeformis)
European maize borer (Ostrinia nubilalis)
Flour moth (Anagusta kuehniella)
Currant clearwing moth (Synenthedon tipuliformis),
Horse-chestnut leaf miner (Cameraria ohridella)
Clothing moth (Tineola bisselliella).
European spruce bark beetle (Ips typographus)
